Who Needs to Take This Course?

Our Defensive Driving Course  is designed for New York drivers seeking to reduce traffic violation points and receive an auto insurance discount.

To qualify for point reduction, students must have received the violation and points no more than 18 months before completing the program. The DMV allows up to 4 points to be reduced in any 18-month period.

Students will qualify for a three-year mandatory 10% insurance reduction after earning a defensive driving certificate. The program can be retaken every 3 years for discount renewal.
